Supporting School-Age Students
New Flexible Program Options
While we’re here to guide 21st century learners on their journey to elementary school, that journey doesn’t end at kindergaten. We're committed to supporting school-age students, through a structured, supervised program that gives each school day a great start and finish, with education and recreation, healthy snacks, homework support, and more.
With uncertainty and questions around school this fall, we’re prepared to be here for you beyond mornings and afternoons. The Prep Lab™ is a program that provides support to school-age students and their families with flexible scheduling and even a full-day option.
Are you uncertain about what’s going on in your school district? Are there potential schedule issues or impacted routines? We’re here for you. We designed this program to meet each child’s needs and each family’s particular schedule.
In The Prep Lab, our teachers are trained to assist your child with their distance learning assignments from the local school district. Children can bring their device from home to work on school assignments. (No device? Ask us about support opportunities.)
The Prep Lab teachers are trained to:
- Keep children engaged with their elementary school learning platform
- Assist students with completing their daily elementary school assignments
- Share challenging weekly STEM projects
- Further social-emotional development with character-developing activities from our exclusive My Best Self! curriculum
- Connect students with their school and teachers, as needed
My Best Self!
Growing up can be a challenge. That’s why we developed our My Best Self! curriculum. It goes beyond academic skill development to provide a strong focus on goal-setting, character development, and independence. We want to encourage their personal growth (and set them up for lifelong success), with a mix of independent and organized experiences, including:
- Homework support
- Team-building opportunities
- Physical activity
My Best Self! curriculum activities are designed to help children build certain social abilities and aim high in these five specific ways:
- Compassionate Me
- Capable Me
- Courageous Me
- Healthy Me
- Social Me
