At our Learning Care schools, we focus on helping children build active bodies and active minds—and that includes thoughtful, developmentally appropriate use of screens with an educational focus.

The more we study how children learn, the more we understand that play is the method that helps young children acquire new skills. When children play, they do much more than have fun. They’re actively building important skills that support their early growth and development.

Learning shows up in the smallest, most meaningful moments. During this mid-Spring season in our classrooms, children are exploring our Learn as We Grow® concept of Structure and Function. 

Starting preschool is a big milestone for children and families. You may feel relieved to know that readiness isn’t about knowing letters or numbers early. It’s about confidence, connection, and curiosity.

 

In our Learn as We Grow curriculum, Cause and Effect is a six-week concept that invites children to observe, investigate, and make discoveries by experimenting with actions and reactions. 

During this season in our classrooms, children are exploring the Learn as We Grow concept of Compare & Contrast. When children learn how to compare and contrast, they’re not just identifying differences; they’re learning how to think.
