Welcome to Our School
Welcome to Everbrook Academy in Park Ridge, IL. We are a 21st century preschool where our STEAM curriculum brings the world into every classroom. Here, your child will discover integrated, hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math.
We offer Infant, Toddler, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, Junior K, and School-Age programs. Every teacher in every classroom uses the same set of developmental milestones to observe and assess each child’s learning and growth. Through our unique cycle of intentional planning, teachers use these assessments—as well as knowledge of the children’s interests—to customize weekly lesson plans. This way, learning goals are personalized for every child!
We also broaden each child's learning through Curiosity Cadets. This program features four enrichment experiences throughout the year. In addition, we offer several elective programs to introduce children to a variety of experiences (Phonics, Spanish, Soccer, All-Star Sports, Dance Stars, Music Stars and more) beyond the daily classroom curriculum.
In The Brook, our all-ages community activity room, you’ll find an interactive virtual playground, books, cozy reading nooks, and STEAM zones for robotics, coding, and more. Step outside and discover some outdoor fun with our playground and age-appropriate play structures. STEAM-inspired play systems and components help children to develop their skills and abilities while having fun.

Meet Our Staff
Carla Alegros, Principal
Education: Bachelors in Early Childhood Education Administration
Miss Carla is thrilled to lead such a diverse, inclusive team here at Everbrook Academy of Park Ridge. She also brings a wealth of personal teaching experience with various age groups at several child care centers, giving her plenty of firsthand classroom knowledge too. Miss Carla also worked at Resurrection Medical Center for seven years as a Child Development Specialist, then as the Director of Child Care Services. She loves spending time with her dog and watching Chicago sports!

Samantha Raskow, School Education Manager
Education: Bachelors in Anthropology and Master's in Teaching
Sam brings a lot of experience to our leadership team. She was previously a kindergarten teacher, team lead, assistant director, and administrative assistant. She has always had a passion for working with children. She wants to make sure our school feels welcoming. She was drawn to the philosophy and mission of Everbrook Academy. She also loves our STEAM curriculum. Her favorite subject in school was science. She grew up in Elk Grove Village.

Tasha Ormond, Admin Assistant
Education: Bachelor's in English with a minor is Southeast Asian Studies, Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education
Tasha has over 10 years of experience in the child care field. She loves working with children and watching them grow. She was drawn to Everbrook Academy by our STEAM approach to learning. She also values how much we support our families and our educators. As part of our team, she hopes to make an impact. Tasha grew up in Chicago. As a student, she really loved math.

Hailey Nelson, Team Lead
Education: Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in Music Therapy with a specialization in early childhood
Certifications: CBMT - Board Certified Music Therapist
Miss Hailey believes in the importance of building strong foundations. “Early intervention is key. I take pride in providing quality care to the community.” She loves the resources and values that Everbrook Academy shares. “I want to continue to add to the positive, nurturing environment we have here while supporting children in their learning and building connections with families.”
