Welcome to Everbrook Academy, a 21st century preschool and early learning center here in Kirkland, WA!
I am Megan, the school's principal. At my first preschool teacher job interview, I told them I preferred to be with the older kids because I wanted to actually teach. They laughed and assigned me to the two-year-olds. I quickly learned just how much learning and development happen in the first 3 years of life, and was hooked. I am passionate about providing an early learning center that capitalizes on the strengths of the students, teachers, and families. I strive to achieve a program that reflects the cultures and values of the unique individuals that contribute to our school community.
Our school offers an engaging, nurturing environment for every child during their most critical early years. We offer programs for Infants, Toddlers and Twos, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten students.
At Everbrook, we strive to mold inquisitive young minds with hands-on STEAM learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math. In addition to basic school readiness, we also focus on helping children to be creative, to communicate, to collaborate with others, and to be critical thinkers.

Education: Associates of Arts in Early Childhood Education
I've worked in Early Childhood Education for 22+ years in private preschools, Head Start programs, and at local college Teacher Training programs. I was born in Indiana, but mostly grew up in Northwest Washington and consider myself a true Pacific Northwesterner for life. Though Washington will always be home, I love to travel and experience new cultures, foods, and people with my husband. We currently live in Kirkland with our kitty Zevah.
