Welcome to Everbrook Academy, a 21st century preschool and early learning center here in Kirkland, WA!

My name is Khayla Silvestre, the principal of Everbrook Academy. I began my Everbrook journey in March of 2022, but have been with Learning Care Group since September 2010. I have been through all roles of the school including infant teacher, pre-kindergarten teacher, all steps of management, and have even subbed in the kitchen.

We are passionate about providing an early learning center that capitalizes on the strengths of the students, teachers, and families. We strive to achieve a program that reflects the cultures and values of the unique individuals that contribute to our school community.

Our school offers an engaging, nurturing environment for every child during their most critical early years. We offer programs for Infants, Toddlers and Twos, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten students.

At Everbrook, we strive to mold inquisitive young minds with hands-on STEAM learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math. In addition to basic school readiness, we also focus on helping children to be creative, to communicate, to collaborate with others, and to be critical thinkers.

Hi there! My name is Khayla Silvestre, and I am the Principal of Everbrook Academy. I am entering my 13th year with the Learning Care Group, and my 2nd year at Everbrook! I feel so fortunate to be part of this school, and to be able to support the students, families and community. Although I have always felt at home in the classroom, I feel extremely fulfilled in my position as an educational coach and administrator; working amongst students and teachers is my life's passion.

Amira Dugan, School Education Manager

Education: BAS in Early Childhood Education, AAS in Early Childhood Education

Certifications: Infant/Toddler Care, Administration, English Language Learners, and School Age Care

Hello! My name is Amira Dugan, and I am the School Education Manager of Everbrook Academy. I have worked as a pre-k teacher for a little over ten years, with two of those years being at Everbrook. I have enjoyed my career and continuing my own professional development and education in the field. My main goals are to help teachers in their own development, work on the school's curriculum needs, and see children thrive! I am happy to be part of such a diverse and inclusive community.

Paul McCoard, Admin Assistant

Education: BA in Drama, AAS in Early Childhood Education

Certifications: Infants and Tods, Administration, School Age, English Language Learners

I was a teacher for ten years, seven of which were in China. I ran a successful center for three years before returning to the US. While mostly preschool and pre-k, I have experience teaching toddlers through high school. I enjoy watching students grow and become ready for kindergarten and helping staff with their teaching methods and classroom management.

Laurie Dunn, Team Lead

Education: BA in Dance Performance/Minor in Theatre

I have had the privilege of teaching Pre-k in both New York and Washington State for over 10 years. I am now beginning my 2nd year teaching Junior Kindergarten with Everbrook Academy and am grateful for not only the opportunity to grow as a teacher but as Team Lead/Safety Captain. I was fortunate to have lived in six different countries throughout Europe and strive to bring elements of that experience to my classroom every day - inclusion, diversity, tolerance, curiosity and global awareness!
